Pimp My Laptop
The custom shop is ready to give life to another 486 laptop with airbrushed flames.
Pimp My Laptop1 is a spin-off from the very popular Pimp My Ride.
I’m not talking about the gaming machine with the cut-out window, a cathode light and gigs of anything. This is about the glory of the vintage machine.
Instead of taking the Ford Pinto and throwing a giant spoiler on the back, Pimp My Laptop would update older, less glamourous laptops. Laptops that had seen better days. That Pentium (when Pentium just meant 586) 75Mhz Toshiba would go so much faster with some flames on the side. Dude, everything goes faster with flames on the side.

Naturally, the mobile telephone pimping would have to be limited to the brick phones and the more obese Motorola flip phones of the early 90s.
1 The laptop idea is not completely my own.

Funny you mention “Pimp My Laptop” as I know a guy who works at TechTV Canada and apparently there is a show in development (could have started airing already as I don’t get TechTV) that’s been described as “Pimp My PC” although they’re not actually using that name for the show itself — probably wouldn’t go over too well.
